Mayco’s Washes are a multi-purpose product that are versatile in use and firing range. These washes can be used alone as a stain or surface treatment, or in combination with any glaze from low-fire (cone 05/06) to high-fire (cone 10). When used in combination, Stoneware Washes may be applied over or under another glaze - ideal for image transfer techniques and line work. These washes are highly concentrated metallic glaze colorants formulated for ease of use and versatility. They are beautiful in oxidation or reduction and can expand the glaze palette of any artist or teacher.

• Food safe; however textural surfaces created via combinations with other glazes may not be suitable for food surfaces.
• Available in iron, rutile (titanium dioxide), manganese, copper and cobalt.
• Highly concentrated: small amounts, thinned with water, will go a long way.
