Directions

Show your sports-loving dad how valuable he is with a custom ceramic cup he can sip his favorite beverages from. A little creativity goes a long way for a gift that’ll score big this Father’s Day!

1. Wipe cup with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
2. Pour some Pure Brilliance inside cup and swirl around to coat entire inside. Pour out excess glazes and wipe away any drips with a damp sponge.
3. Use a marker to write “MVP” in block letters on a piece of shelf paper. Cut out, remove backing from each letter and adhere on side of cup between the stitches. Press around all edges to secure from color seepage.
4. Brush 3 coats of Bright Brown onto entire cup, brushing over the letter cutouts and painting around the stitches and stripes. Let dry.
5. Once the Bright Brown has lost its sheen but before it completely dries, remove the letter cutouts.
6. Brush 3 coats of Bright Sapphire onto each letter. Let dry then outline letters with two coats of Black using No. 1 Liner. Let dry.
7. Use a pencil to lightly write “Most Valuable Pop” on reverse side of cup. Use the No. 1 Liner to brush 2 coats of Black over lettering. Let dry, then accent wording with Bright Sapphire as shown. Let dry completely.
8. Brush 2 coats of Pure Brilliance onto stitches and stripes. Lightly brush 1 coat onto remainder of cup. Let dry.
9. Stilt on shelf and fire to cone 06.
