Directions
COCONUT TUMBLER:
- Wipe ware with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
- Pour some Pure Brilliance inside cup, roll around to coat sides and pour remaining glaze into clean container.
- Repeat with inside lid. Let dry.
- Brush a good coat of Dark Briarwood to the textured sides of lid and cup using Fan Glaze brush.
- Use slightly damp sponge to wipe back paint, going against the carved in lines leaving the dark brown in the crevices. Let dry.
- Using Fan Glaze brush, brush a coat of Bright Brown going against the carved in lines over the protruding ridges. Let dry and repeat.
- Brush two coats Bright Brown to base of cup. Let dry.
- Brush two coats Pure Brilliance to top of lid. Let dry.
- Use Liner brush to fill in the dark brown lines if areas were wiped off. Let dry.
- Stilt on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.
TIKI TUMBLER:
- Wipe cup and lid with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
- Pour some Pure Brilliance into cup, roll around to coat sides and pour out remaining in clean container.
- Refer to photo and paint three coats Saffron Yellow in background areas including base and three coats of Bright Caribbean on mouth, nose and eyes and surrounding areas. Let dry.
- Lastly paint eyes and nosepiece, parts of designs and separation lines in teeth using Black. Let dry.
- Brush three coats Bright Caribbean to inside and outside of lid. Let dry.
- Brush two coats Pure Brilliance to teeth. Let dry.
- Stilt cup and lid and fire to cone 06.
PINEAPPLE TUMBLER
- Wipe cup and lid with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
- Pour Pure Brilliance inside pineapple tumbler, roll around to coat insides and pour remaining glaze into clean cup.
- Tape hole in lid and pour glaze also into lid to coat. Pour out remaining glaze.
- Brush three coats Light Saffron to cup including bottom. Let dry.
- Brush three coats Bright Kiwi to lid. Let dry.
- Use Liner brush to paint two coats of fine crisscross lines on pineapple with Light Brown. Let dry.
- Stilt cup and lid on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.
