The carousel horse is one of the most difficult pieces to stilt. It must be balanced on stilt rods that support the horse from within the hollow cavity. These rods must be heavy gauge to withstand both weight and temperature, and must be spaced properly. This stilt balances these difficult-to-fire pieces on heavy 6 gauge rods (2 included). Place one 6 gauge rod in the center pre-pressed hole. One of the three stilt legs has a row of five holes pre-pressed for 6 gauge rods. Place the other rod in one of these holes, distanced properly for your piece. The holes in both other legs fit 9 gauge rods for assorted smaller pieces. (6 gauge is heavier than 9 gauge.) The Carousel Horse comes with two 8" 6 gauge rods. Additional 9 gauge rods may be purchased separately. Stilt measures approx. 7" x 7" wide.
