Dark Matter is a deep, fluid glaze with shifting violet undertones and large rainbow crystals at cone 6. Crystals are smaller, and more condensed at cone 5.

Apply four (4) coats. For best results, leave the inside or back of the form unglazed.

Can be fired in a normal medium-speed firing with no special cooling schedule required. To take this glaze to the next level, use a controlled cooling schedule for increased crystal growth. These glazes are prone to running, so the manufacturer recommends stopping your glaze about half an inch above the foot. You can also use a drip tray or soft bricks to protect kiln shelves.

Not recommended for food surfaces. Due to variations in raw materials used during manufacturing, firing glazed test tiles before using each new batch number of glaze is recommended.
