Christmas Stocking Dish

Directions

  1. Wipe dish with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
  2. Lightly with pencil, freehand design on plate or create own pattern as desired.
  3. Brush three coats Really Red on top of stocking, heel, toe and center area. Let dry.
  4. Darken the Really Red with a little Black and make vertical stripes in the top of stocking.
  5. Brush three coats Light Kiwi next to the toe and heel leaving approximately ½ inch white strip between the Light Kiwi and Really Red strip in center portion of stocking.
  6. Brush another three coats Light Kiwi above the Really Red center leaving a strip of white just below top fold of stocking. (Continue design to the sides and visible part of the stocking.)
  7. Add a little Black to Really Red to deepen and paint some stripes down top of stocking. Add some circles below to simulate pom poms hanging from folded edge of sock. Let dry.
  8. Detail and add dimensional flair to stocking using French Dimensions. Refer to photo for suggested designs or create your own!
  9. Write name on top or draw pom poms hanging from the edge of sock. Let dry.
  10. Stilt dish and fire to cone 06.
  11. If desired, add a coat of Pure Brilliance to dish and re-fire to cone 06.
