Dying to Get Out Coffin Box
Directions
- Wipe box and lid with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
- Brush three coats Neon Orange to sides and bottom of box. Let dry.
- Brush three coats Neon Orange to top of box painting around the skeletal hands and around inverted hole with skull. Let dry.
- Brush three coats Black to inside box and inside coffin lid. Let dry.
- Draw “RIP” to coffin lid approximately an inch before the hole with skull.
- Paint letters with two coats Black. Let dry.
- Using Liner brush, paint in skeleton’s eyes, nose and mouth.
- On side of coffin, paint Black round for spider’s body.
- Use French Dimensions Licorice and squeeze out lines for legs and make spider web on reverse side of coffin. Let dry.
- Outline RIP with French Dimensions Licorice and make design around skeleton. Let dry.
- If desired, dilute Black to a light gray, and make lines between fingers using Liner brush. Let dry.
- Lightly brush Pure Brilliance on skeleton’s bisque face and fingers. Let dry and repeat. If desired, brush a light coat of same on coffin box and lid.
- Stilt both pieces in kiln and fire to cone 06.
